Guess what! A few months ago, I was asked to contribute to a book of reflections on the mysteries of the Rosary and motherhood. And it’s almost out! I wrote about the Visitation which is my favorite mystery.
Edited by Michele Chronister of My Domestic Monastery!
With contributors including:
Amy of Go Forth and Mother
Kelly of This Ain’t the Lyceum
Cari of Clan Donaldson
Christy of Fountains of Home
Jenna of Call Her Happy
Dwija of House Unseen
Jenny of Mama Needs Coffee
Caitlyn of Harvesting Home
Mary of Passionate Perseverance
Mary Helen of A Helping of Home
And that isn’t even everyone!
The book will be available for release on Mother’s Day, May 10th! I’ll share the pre-order information when everything’s in place (in case you need to pass on a hint to people looking to buy you a Mother’s Day gift). The book will be available in e-book and print form, too!
And the book Daniel contributed a chapter to, The Joys and Challenges of Family Life: Catholic Husbands and Fathers Speak Out, is now available! It was published by Our Sunday Visitor and edited by Brandon McGinley and several copies just arrived from FedEx. I am on pins and needles dying to open the box and see it in the flesh but since it’s Daniel’s book and all, I should let HIM open it up and be the first to see the books. Being a grown up is hard sometimes.
And if you haven’t already, be sure to check out the Catholic dadfest podcast episode we did with Daniel and Brandon all about the book. It’s pretty fun. And you can hear all about how Daniel doesn’t remember the day we met.
So I guess that’s your mother’s day and father’s day gifts sorted! Wink wink.
And don’t forget that my friend Erin’s FREE mini-course is only available through this weekend!

Excellent Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts. You two are one of my favorite couples, probably because I have always wanted to be an author and not only do you guys write, but you write well- thoughtful, quality pieces.
Only sorta relate: Advice on a good book on writing for someone who loves to write but needs to brush up on basics and get motivation and inspiration?

Question about these books, since they would make great Mother’s Day and Father’s Day gifts! My parents have 4 kids ranging in age from 28 (me) to 17 (junior in high school) – would you say these books would still be relevant to parents of older children or is it geared more towards parents of younger/school-aged kids?

This, my friend (may I call you that?), is hilarious… It’s essentially Mary and becoming a mother that has drawn me back to the Catholic Church, and then -just tonight-while discussing church with my husband, he commented that he didn’t really know what a Catholic family should look like (much less ours). And what two books do I find in this post? God is amazing. Thanks for your work on these… We’ll be checking them out soon.
