Remember how I told you that I’ll be contributing to one of my favorite blogs, Kitchen Stewardship, once a month? Well my first post is up!
“…But dinnertime is about much more than cramming wholesome calories into our families (although that’s a worthy goal!). It’s not just about consuming the “right” things, it’s about savoring the ingredients, process, and connections. It’s about slowing down to treat food and relationships with joy….”
I love this so much, Haley! Really really needing this reminder to slow down and enjoy a meal as a family.
Somehow, I feel like I have been in survival mode for the last 5 years (just one kid who is 5, so not sure why). But, even though I am pregnant and in its own level of survival mode, I feel the call and motivation to pull ourselves out! I think becoming Catholic this year had a lot to do with it!
Thanks for your faithful reminders!
Thanks, Amanda! It’s so hard to slow down. I’m always going a mile a minute, but when I DO slow down I remember ahh….this is the way it’s supposed to be! <3
Great post! And hooray for me because I had not heard of Kitchen Stewardship before and Holy Moly! is it a site that makes me all kinds of happy!!! Thanks for sharing!! (I totally posted a comment on your post over at Kitchen Stewardship, too. What can I say? I super loved your post 🙂 )
