Lucy, when I went in to see if she was awake yet: “Don’t bug me.”I think we’ve got a strong extrovert and a strong introvert over here…
My friend Kaitlin took this photo at our playdate the other day so I finally have a picture of me with all three kiddos! (I just wish you could see Gwen’s face, that Benjamin looked even mildly interested in being there, and that Lucy was doing a real smile. Of course, Lucy’s little smirk is pretty adorable, so I guess that’s alright.)
Book Love:
While we were accompanying Daniel to his 50 mile race last weekend, Gwen and I stole away for a stroll in Callaway Gardens and she fell asleep in the ERGO leaving me footloose and fancy free to start reading Scoop by one of my favorite authors, Evelyn Waugh. In a garden with a sleeping baby reading Waugh. There is so much goodness in that sentence!
So, I’m just dying to watch this movie that comes out on Christmas Day:
I love feel good movies, Mary Poppins, and Emma Thompson with an undying love.

I’ve been reading Carrots for a few months now – I love it! I’m also looking forward to seeing Saving Mr. Banks. I love Emma Thompson, love Mary Poppins, and am always intrigued by films based on true stories. Not sure if Tom Hanks can play Walt Disney, but we’ll see!
Haley says
Aw, thanks, Hannah! And me, too! It sounds like the “Miss Potter” of Mary Poppins. I think my mom and I are going to go on a mother-daughter date to see it 🙂

Ooooooh I am so excited about Saving Mr. Banks….I loved Mary Poppins the movie and the books….I can understand how P.L. Travers was worried that the movie would eclipse her books…like many Disney Movies, I didn’t find out there was a book until wayyy after I watched the movie.
I found Pollyanna the book this past summer. My mind was blown. Thought it was just a movie my entire childhood!

I am so glad you liked Kathryn’s post, I thought it was splendid too. I love that picture of you and the kids, just beautiful!

Such a good post. I’m glad you linked to it, because it reminded me that I loved her first post and needed to add her blog to my feedly. And thank you, mama! ; )

My mom and I were so excited when we saw the trailer for Saving Mr. Banks. We’re both big fans of Tom Hanks, and Walt Disney is one of my all-time favorite people– needless to say, I’m VERY excited. (When there was the shot of the gates of Disneyland opening and Tom/Walt was standing there… I cried a little bit. Oops.)
Gwen is getting so big!! Wasn’t she born, like, yesterday?? Your children are beautiful and so are you! <3

I totally got teary-eyed when I watched the trailer! And yes! She’s a giant! So sweet and chubby. And thank you, sweetie <3

Oh my gosh! I can’t wait to see that movie! Tom Hanks is my favorite actor and that looks sooooo good!
On the chocolate, I recommend checking out Rage Against the Minivan as well–she had a good post last year I think.
Loved the DS post when you shared on Facebook. Since it is Downs Awareness Month I’m having a good friend whose brother has Downs do a guest post for me. Look for that!

Beautiful picture of you and the kiddos. Love Evelyn Waugh. And now I cannot wait to see that movie. Didn’t even know of it’s existence.
